WHO WE ARE

For nearly 20 years, The Abuja International Choir ( formerly The Abuja Chorus ) has delighted audiences with choral presentations of artistic quality, stunning harmonies and an exciting repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary, sacred to secular, indigenous to exotic, as well as patriotic tunes from all over the world due to our multinational and multigenerational membership.

Our 50+ choir group is composed of dedicated amateur singers from
diverse nationalities and professions– we have amongst our members
diplomats, artists, teachers, lawyers, engineers, development workers,
entrepreneurs and many more professionals from over 10 countries and
3 continents.

We believe singing builds community and our warm wholesome group
attracts new members all the time. You are welcome to attend a
practice with no obligation to join.

WHAT WE DO

We perform engaging choral music and share the joy, inspiration and restorative power of singing within our community .

Concerts:The Chorale performs two major concerts per year, in the summer and at the end of year for Christmas, usually scheduled late November / early December.

Special Event Performances: these are community centered events that include performances for national celebrations as well as corporate engagements.

Rehearsals: We meet regularly to rehearse in the heart of the city and share our love for choral music. All members sing in major concerts and dress rehearsals

Being a not for profit chorale, our rehearsals and performances are supported by income generated from our sold out concerts and the generosity of our sponsors, partners and members.
With further support and sponsorship, we can serve larger audiences
and bring the gift of music to underserved communities
